Online Alarm Clock

Set a time → your browser rings, with snooze

Set the time, add a label if you like, and press Set alarm. Keep this tab open with the sound on — the alarm rings in the browser, so it won’t go off if the tab or browser is closed or the device goes to sleep.

Tip: tap “Test sound” once so your browser allows the alarm to play.
Browsers can pause pages that are in the background or when the device sleeps, so don’t rely on this for anything critical — use your phone’s built-in alarm for that. The page asks the screen to stay on while an alarm is set, where the browser supports it.

How this works

When you set an alarm, the page works out the next time that clock time comes round — later today, or tomorrow if it has already passed — and checks the clock several times a second. At that moment it plays a repeating tone, flashes, vibrates where supported, and shows the label in the browser tab until you stop or snooze it.

Browsers only let a page make sound after you’ve interacted with it, which is why setting the alarm (or pressing Test sound) is needed first. To keep the device from sleeping, the page requests a “screen wake lock” while an alarm is set; leave your device plugged in for long alarms.

FAQ

Will the alarm go off if I close the tab?

No. The alarm runs inside this page, so the tab must stay open. It keeps working if you switch to another tab, but some phones pause background tabs, so it’s safest to leave this page on screen.

Why didn’t I hear anything?

Check that your device isn’t muted and the volume is up, and press “Test sound” once — browsers block sound until you interact with the page. On iPhone, the ring/silent switch can also mute browser audio.

Can I use this as a wake-up alarm?

It works for naps and reminders at your desk, but for waking up in the morning your phone’s built-in alarm is more reliable, because it works even when the screen is locked.

How does snooze work?

Snooze stops the alarm and sets it to ring again after the snooze length you chose (9 minutes by default, like most bedside clocks).

Does it work offline?

Yes — once the page has loaded, the alarm doesn’t need an internet connection.
