Bag Size

Cabin and checked vs a limit you type

Type your bag’s outside length, width, height and weight. Pick Custom and type a limit, or load a dated airline snapshot. We compare the numbers you entered. Presets are a convenience, like stamp-duty bands — not a live airline API and not your ticket.

How this works: Size in centimetres; weight in kilograms. Linear = L + W + H. Volume (L × W × H) is shown quietly and is not a pass test. A three-dimension limit is treated as a box you can rotate (largest side vs largest limit, and so on). A linear limit only adds the three sides. Empty limit fields are skipped. Switching a preset overwrites the limit fields; you can edit them afterwards.

Linear and volume appear once you type three sides. Include wheels and packed-away handles.

Volume (not a test)

Custom — type any max L, W, H, linear, and kg. Leave a field blank to skip that check.

Fit rule: whatever you fill in. Three sides = must fit the box (any rotation). Linear = L+W+H only.

Type a bag and a limit

Pass or fail appears when there is something to compare.

Fare, route, status, aircraft, and codeshare change the limit. Personal-item rules are not the cabin piece. We do not scrape airlines while you type, and we do not open their sites for you. MultiSwitch is not the airline — check the ticket. See Terms.

FAQ

Is this the airline’s live baggage rule?

No. MultiSwitch compares the numbers you typed. Airline presets are a dated snapshot of figures published on official pages, like stamp-duty bands — not a booking system, not an API, and not a promise the gate sizer will agree. Fare, route, status, aircraft, and codeshare change the limit. Check the ticket.

Do I include wheels and handles?

Yes. The airlines in these snapshots say to measure the packed bag including wheels and packed-away handles. Type what a tape would read on the outside, not the size printed on an empty shell.

What if the airline uses linear centimetres instead of length × width × height?

Linear is length + width + height. Some presets fill three dimensions (the bag must sit inside that box, any rotation). Some fill a linear maximum only. Some fill both. Custom lets you type either, or both. Empty limit fields are skipped.
